One of the busiest transfer stations in King County, the Bow Lake Recycling and Transfer Station in Tukwila handles 2,500 tons per day of solid waste and recycling. The campus includes a transfer building, operations building, recycle and yard waste areas, and more. Kingspan Light + Air installed over 25,000 sq. ft. of both our UniQuad translucent wall system and our Quadwall translucent skylight system, specified in ice white glazing. Our systems provide the facilities with glare-free daylighting to ensure that daytime operations run effectively and smoothly with minimal use of artificial lighting. The project received USGBC LEED Platinum certification for its sustainability efforts.
